House Groups

There are three House Groups at St Joseph’s. Each house group has been chosen for their connection with our school.
Each child is placed within a school ‘house’. Vertical group activities, competitions and
other events are often undertaken within the Houses.

McKillop House (Purple) – reflects the values, attitudes and teachings of St Mary of the Cross McKillop who began the order of sisters who started our school.

Pompallier House (Orange) – reflects the values, attitudes and teachings of Bishop Pompallier who was the first Catholic Bishop of New Zealand.

Assisi House (Green) – reflects the values, attitudes and teachings of St Francis of Assisi the founder of the Franciscan Order. He had a special place for nature, the environment and humility and care of others.
