Our Learning

Here at St Joseph's we believe that all children have the right and aptitude to learn and that each child is an individual with differing needs, talents and abilities.  Children learn at different rates and in different ways and we acknowledge this by providing a range of tools and settings for learning.

"A school-wide culture of high expectations for learning and teaching, and continuous review and reflection to enhance teaching practice attains and sustains positive outcomes for all children."

Religious Education

Picture
All children in the school are guided on their Christian spiritual journey. This is taught in the Catholic way. We trust that you will share in this journey as much as you can and encourage your children to be spiritual people.

The Religious Education programme is taught daily. This may vary depending on the class level.

Daily prayer by staff and students is an integral part of each day. Mass is celebrated each week on Tuesday with a whole school Mass once a term. Liturgies mark special occasions eg; Grandparents Day, Lent, Mother’s Day. All significant events in the yearly calendar of the church are part of not just classroom learning but of liturgical celebration.
